As attendees, clad in flannel shirts, arrived at the outdoor center, they were welcomed by the aroma of sausages, eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and gravy in steaming pans. The friendly hosts, volunteers from the Friends of the Ocqueoc Outdoor Center, stood ready with serving utensils to fill plates. Amidst the warm chatter, people enjoyed their breakfast, sharing tables with friends, family, and perhaps making new acquaintances. The buildings were open, inviting guests to wander the grounds, peek inside the historic structures, and partake in an official tour to enrich their knowledge.
All of the amazing items donated to the silent auction were sold, and the baked goods at the bake sale vanished quickly! A heartfelt thanks to all who attended and contributed to the breakfast’s success—not a crumb was left in the pans! Stay tuned for another event like this next year; keep an eye on our events calendar and Facebook page.
